WATCHFUL EYES

Originally from Bijapur (Karnataka), Mr. Ramesh Madar (1973), is today a watchman employed at a residential area in Maimollem, Goa.

Being born in a poor family, they had to suffer for one square meal a day. As luck would have it, he was able to complete his matriculation examination in a government school.

After losing his father, he took the responsibility of his family. He helped in getting his sisters married and also sold his farm in payment of education fees for his brother.

He was underpaid in his village and unable to fulfill his family requirements. Hence, decided to shift to Goa with his mother, wife and their two children.

First he worked in a restaurant as a waiter. Then he started to work in a warehouse, but the fees for schooling of his children were too high, so his wife joined him in the factory for work.

The pandemic took an enormous toil on them. But soon recovered, now he works as a watchman and his wife again joined back in the factory.

At present, he is happy with his job and salary because he is able to feed his family as well as send his children to school.
